Graduate of the Faculty of History at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Department of Military History.

In 2014, I defended my doctoral dissertation with distinction, titled Infantry on the Eastern Theater of the American Civil War.

Between 2009 and 2019, I translated from English, edited, and provided introductions and scholarly annotations for numerous historical publications for publishers such as Replika, Tetragon, and NapoleonV.
I have taken part in academic and student conferences, taught university courses, and continue to present my research findings through lectures and public talks.

Since 2009, I have published in both academic and popular journals, in English (Polish American Studies, Folia Archeologica) and Polish (Colloquium, Przegląd historyczno-wojskowy), as well as in military and naval magazines (Okręty wojenne, Okręty, Poligon, Morze, statki i okręty).
Since 2022, I have been a regular contributor to the bimonthly magazine Morze, statki i okręty.

My main field of interest remains the American Civil War, both on land and at sea.
I am also passionate about infantry tactics throughout history, naval history (particularly the age of steam and iron), ancient warfare (classical Greece, the Hellenistic era, and the Roman Republic), and military conflicts of 1815–1914.
However, I do not believe in “uninteresting” eras or events.
